I visited Derby City Skates in WS to get more info on how to turn my vintage McGregors into outdoor skates.  I also wanted to scout out the place for future OA outdoor skating info.

 My visit turned into a purchase of new Riedell (not to be confused with Rydell High from Grease) skates with light up hybrid wheels.

Schmanne & Pam journeyed with me to Skateland in Clemmons for the Ole School Skaters (40+) monthly skate night.

Happy Birthday to my Jen Jen 11.17.21

Enjoyed taking my Jen Jen to see Gladys Knight for her birthday.  I can say that Gladys definitely hasn't lost her chops.  Her voice sounds amazing at 77+ years old.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Me & the girls had a small quaint Thanksgiving brunch.  Black Friday I went on a hike at the Gateway Nature Preserve in WS.  

The following Saturday, I spent a hysterical morning at Riverside Flea Market with my mom and my aunt.  Those two are beyond comical.

Touchdown Tampa (11.21-11.23.21)

 A series of events led me to Tampa, and I think I love the city.  Being able to wear a short sleeve shirt, jacket, maybe even sandals in November is one of the things that this ole country gal truly desires.  Tampa didn't disappoint.

A perk of the job is getting discounted rates at some of the guest suites.  Bell Channelside was super nice.  I will be coming back again.

We even had the president of the Welcoming Committee at our patio door.

My motion sickness patch worked, but had me sooooo super drowsy that I had to conk out for a bit.  Later we hit Hard Rock casino.

I more than doubled my $20 bet.  So of course I cashed out before losing any of it.  Thanks, Madonna!

After working a few hours on Monday morning, we headed to Hillsborough River State Park to commune with nature.  Beautiful place...

Afterwards we headed to downtown Ybor City for lunch.  Cute brick laid streets and trolley cars, but of course, I forgot to snap some pics.

Next was the Tampa Bay Bucs game against the NY Giants.  My first NFL game ever.  The place ended up being packed and the Bucs won.  Although I'm sporting my gifted jersey, know that I'm a Carolina Panther through and through.

We headed back home early Tuesday morning.  I plan on going back to Tampa and scoping it out as a future home.  Warm/hot weather is calling my name!
