Congaree National Forest (10.16.21-10.17.21)

 I've been wanting to visit  this national park for about a year now.  Mainly due to some pictures that I had seen where the forest floor was under water.  I learned that those pics only happen when the area floods about one time per year.  Oh well.  I missed on out that, but I enjoyed my first time primitive group camping, hiking, learning history, and fellowshipping with Outdoor Afro South Carolina at Congaree National Forest in Hopkins, SC.  Ranger Jon was very transparent about the park's dark history in slavery, knowledgeable about the forestry and ecology of the area, and the truth's about European colonizers affect on the indigenous people in America overall.
