As with my new tradition to travel somewhere new on my birthday, I finally headed to Phoenix, AZ. I've been trying to get there for a few years, and I finally did.
When I tried to get my Fox Rental Car, I learned that my license expired on 1.27.23. I was devastated b/c I didn't know how I was going to get around-Ubers/Lyfts would've broke the budget (plus, I didn't have a clear plan of what I was even going to do). Schmanne reminded me that we can renew our licensces online, and it worked-one hurdle down.
I then do a little eating and shopping, then head to my hotel, Sheraton Downtown. Well, when I get there, I learn that my BonVoy Friends & Family pass had expired, and that the room was going to be $216+ per night. HE!! no! I ended up on Priceline and booked the Holiday Inn near the airport. It was decent, but mainly affordable!
On Saturday, I finally tore myself from the hotel bed and headed to SugarJam The Southern Kitchen in Scottsdale. It was all of that. Thanks to Toya E-Hairston for the suggestion. There was a DJ, and the vibe was amazing.
Next stop was Papago Park, then on to Camelback Mountain.
In all I visited Phoenix, Scottsdale, & Tempe. I love the area!
