This year OALT23 (Outdoor Afro Leadership Training 2023) was held at Islandwood in Bainbridge Island, WA (outside of Seattle). It was my first time in Washington state, foraging, eating black-eyed peas, and riding a ferry with a vehicle. I enjoyed my nature adventures and ate very well while there. Susan and I hung around Seattle for a bit before and after training.
