I Believe I Can Fly.....So I Did (10.10-10.11.20)

 Thanks to Raphael with Xplore Kayaking and the Outdoor Afro-Raleigh group, I was able to camp at the beach and try hang gliding with Kitty Hawk Kites.  (VIDEO FOOTAGE AT THE END)

I'll definitely be camping at the Oregon Inlet Campground in Nags Head, NC (OBX) again.   I was finally able to walk the dunes at Jockeys Ridge State Park.   I thoroughly enjoyed it!  

I even braved the outdoor camp shower.

Kermit decided to join me for a shower.

From Green to Green (9.26.20)

 I saw this on Facebook a few weeks ago, and was determined to see it for myself.   I know TLC meant well, but I'm chasing waterfalls...

So I packed up Ruby with a travel buddy, and ventured from Greensboro to Greenville.

First stop was a late lunch at Mac's. Not a fan.  But since we have one here, maybe I'll try it again and get something other than the quesadilla.

Next stop was the Greenville Zoo. It's sort of the equivalent to the outdoor portion of the Natural Science Center in Greensboro.

Next stop, Falls Park on the Reedy...

My travel buddy truly enjoyed his little stay in "Ruby the Resort"

Definitely worth the 3-hour drive. The park was so peaceful and beautiful.
