 A&T Move-in Day (8.13.22)

There was so much hustle and bustle that I didn't get as many pics as I wanted.  But the kid had what I thought was a ton of stuff.  Others had way more.  My goodness.  But her dad, her sister, & I were able to get her moved into her room.  Her play sis, Kay, came by to keep her company afterwards.

Surprise, Ma!!!!  (8.14.22)

My attempt to surprise my mama for her 70th birthday, was mostly successful.  She figured it out before the real reveal.  However, I was able to get her "Church Lady Crew" to the restaurant without her knowing.

Melanated Campout 2022 (8.18-8.21.22)

 What can I say other than I had an absolute blast, again!!!

The location changed, my rig changed, and I even went a day earlier.  My sis and my friend, Stokes, even joined in on the fun this time.

I hate that I didn't take as many pics as I should've, nor did I get someone to record me doing karaoke with Nicki Minaj's 'Moment for Life'.   We had crazy rain, but even crazier fun.  I was supposed to be in the lip sync battle assisting PJ, but he got the time mixed up at the end.  I was nervous anyways.  I stayed up until after 3am on Friday, and I still haven't recovered.

I'm so looking forward to Melanated Campout 2023!!!!

Camping, Celebrating, Surfing (8.6-8.8.22)

I did a terrible job of getting good pics, but I enjoyed my relaxing one-night camp at Jomeokee Campground near Pilot Mountain with Outdoor Afro Asheville NC/Greenville SC network.

After getting back home and showered on Sunday, we attended Celena's surprise college party.  She's my Goddaughter's sister.

We partnered with the Kathleen Clay Edwards Library to view the documentary 'White Wash' about black surfers.  It was very educational and inspiring.
