We came, we conquered, we zorbed! 6.23.17-6.24.17

I decided to take the girls to Tennessee for their birthdays this year.  In my true fashion, I wanted to do something new and adventurous.  Enter zorbing.  I don't even know how I came about this unique activity but I'm so glad I did.

We headed out Friday around 10:15 in the morning and arrived that afternoon.  It was only supposed to be a roughly 4 hour drive, but 2 stops and 2 encounters with lane closures caused us to arrive at the park around 3:40p.

I tried to get some pics of the mountains as I was driving, but of course, the pics do it no justice.  The scenery is just beautiful.

This CFA was the first that I've ever seen that didn't have an eat-in area.  It's almost like a Cookout style CFA in Asheville, NC.

Here are some pics of the park and us.  Our video was kind of hilarious (at least to us it was).  But it was soooo much fun.  Definitely will be doing this again.

After all this excitement, we were hungry, so the girls picked Joe's Crab Shack for dinner.  Maya ate crab legs for the first time, and loved them.

We topped the night off at Margaritaville.

Dee came in 3rd place killing the zombies

On the way to the hotel earlier in the day, I stumbled across a flea market with a display that I had to see the next day-TINY HOUSES!!!

Last stop was the Tanger Outlets.  Me and my girls shopping are typically a recipe for disaster.  I'm thrifty and don't give a hoot about brand names or high prices.  They on the other hand, love name brands and don't seem to care about price.  They also think I have Beyonce's pockets.  But this time, it went fairly smoother than normal.

This is our second trip to this area of Tennessee.  I'm definitely falling in love with it.  I look forward to checking out some of the natural wonders in the area.  Until next time....

Playing Outside...with The Girls (6.3.17)

So the last time I visited Jamestown Park, I was solo.

This time, I sort of dragged the girls with me.  We enjoyed our walk and talk.  I can definitely say that it's very freeing.  I saw some new things that I didn't see the first time.

I saw this the first time, but it still intrigues me.

Later that evening, Maya and I went to Barber Park to see Vanessa Ferguson perform.  For those that don't know, Vanessa made it within the top 8 on this past season of The Voice.  She is originally from NY, but has lived in the 'boro long enough to be considered a Greensboro resident.  She has an amazing voice.

On Sunday, June 4, Maya's cheer team competed at Southeast High School.  I'm proud to say that the Greensboro Tigerz won first place in their division (Level 4 Small).  They clinched a spot at that National Competition next year in Chicago.  Go Tigerz!!!

Oh, but I have to rewind to June 2.  I traveled all the long way to the hometown to help my Friend-Sister celebrate her 40th birthday.  Welcome to Club 4-0, Schmanne!!!

Rod, Schmanne's fiance, thought he was cool
