Kayak & Camp (8.29-8.30.20)

 My first real solo camping trip started with kayaking at Barton's Creek.  The marina area and campground are part of Falls Lake State Recreation in Wake Forest, NC.

I checked into my campsite first, spot 042 at the Holly Point Loop.  I 

I must admit that with the heat, I did get a little touched with motion sickness, but I survived.

The campgrounds were very clean and well maintained.  I'd definitely like to go back another time when the swimming area reopens.

When it was time to leave, my pop-up tent thought it had the best of me.  But I didn't let it defeat me.  Of course, I turned to a YT vid to help me fold it back for storage.  

Two Little Birdies Looking at Trees (8.28.20)

 Jen Jen and I head to Raven Rock State Park in Lillington, NC.   She's not much of a nature, hiking person, but she enjoyed the experience.

What I didn't get was a picture of the lovely brown snake that crossed my path 5 seconds before I was probably going to step on it!!!
