Concert, Kayaking, & Cobras (7.3-7.10.21)

 I hosted an Outdoor Afro G/T event in conjunction with Center City Park's outdoor concert series.   Since Dee didn't really want to do anything for her birthday, she came and hung out with us.

I hosted an Intro to Kayaking event at City Lake Park in High Point.  Due to my ongoing saga with motion sickness, I didn't hit the water.  However, I had just as much fun seeing the newbies learn, enjoy themselves experience something new, and most definitely enjoying the nature aspect.

Paintball Pals (11.14-11.15.20)

 Outdoor Afro & Xplore Kayak hooked up again for a weekend of camping, kayaking, & paintballing.  This was my first time doing paintball and kayaking at night.  I was even able to convince Sis to try camping for the first time.  I must say that paintball was fun, once I got the hang of it.  Unfortunately, I never shot anyone with a pellet.  But I only got hit from a ricocheted pellet.

Kayak & Camp (8.29-8.30.20)

 My first real solo camping trip started with kayaking at Barton's Creek.  The marina area and campground are part of Falls Lake State Recreation in Wake Forest, NC.

I checked into my campsite first, spot 042 at the Holly Point Loop.  I 

I must admit that with the heat, I did get a little touched with motion sickness, but I survived.

The campgrounds were very clean and well maintained.  I'd definitely like to go back another time when the swimming area reopens.

When it was time to leave, my pop-up tent thought it had the best of me.  But I didn't let it defeat me.  Of course, I turned to a YT vid to help me fold it back for storage.
